Commercial refrigeration
This can be found everywhere from your local public house to the kitchen of your favourite restaurant. There are many types, the most common probably being the bar fridge. It is quite a broad subject but whether you want to store say, 150 bottles or 50 packages of meat to serve in your restaurant, there is a unit to suit you.
Most products come with some kind of warranty and it would be a good idea to consider this if you are in the market. For example; a parts only warranty for 12 months means that if your unit breaks down within a year from registering your warranty, you would have to pay for an engineer of your choice to repair the fault. However, you would not have to pay for new parts as these would be sent out to you straight from the manufacturer. Some products have an option for, or even come with, parts AND labour, meaning that all you would have to do was register a service call and an engineer from the manufacturer would arrange to come and fix the fault at no extra cost to you.
Types include: Air conditioning, bar fridges, bakery cabinets, blast chillers & freezers, cold rooms, chest freezers, display freezers, glass and solid door freezers, bottle coolers, glass and solid door fridges, wine coolers, chest coolers, fish keepers, glass frosters, ice machines, keg coolers, cellar cooling, multidecks, refrigerated counters, cake display cabinets, counter top displays, wall displays and serve over displays. With all of these types of commercial refrigeration it is not hard for you to find a product that could be advantageous to your business.
Domestic refrigeration
Domestic refrigeration is something you will likely see every day, your fridge in your kitchen at home is the prime example. From the largest American fridge freezers to the smallest table top drinks
fridges, there is something for everyone. American style fridge freezers are also known as side by side units and can have extras such as ice and water dispensers.
A popular type of refrigerator for the home is the retro fridge or fridge freezer, these are typically reminiscant of the sixties or seventies and come in a wide variety of bright colours or designs. Modern style refrigerators tend to be in more docile colours like white or silver.
There are three main types of domestic refrigeration which are freestanding, under counter and integrated. Freestanding, as you might imagine, is simply a fridge which is placed on its own whereas under counter fridges or freezers are designed to fit beneath the counter work surface. Integrated refrigeration is designed to be “built in” to the cabinets or cupboards. Many manufacturers follow a common convention for the sizing of integrated products but it is a good idea to check just incase.
